COURSE SYNOPSIS
The secretarial profession is one of the oldest in World.  The contributions of secretaries to the
Development of an organization in particular and the nation in general cannot be over stressed as there is no organization where the service of a secretarial staff is not needed.  The secretary Plays a very vital role in the organization as he/she uses and applies his or her intellectual and Professional wealth of experience in enhancing the growth of the overall efficiency of such Organization. 

The administrative functions or duties of a secretary in an office was described in the age of Computer technology that the manager of a computer installation company, whether the Department is large or small, will need the services of a secretary.  For the same reason, any other executive needs a secretary to make appointments, receive and screen visitors, keep records, handle type flow charts, organization layout chart, design work procedures, and take dictations assist in designing and planning, contribute to management decision making process, attend meetings and take minutes.

  2. 21  and above  - N30,050.00 per participant

OPTION B – The Nigerian Institute of Professional Secretaries facilities in Lagos, Benin, Kaduna
The cost per participant shall be:

  1. 10 – 15 participants – N50.050.00 per participant
  2. 16  and above - N40.050.00 per participant

THE OBJECTIVES OF THE MANDATORY CONTINUING PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT (MCPD)

  1. To create a forum for sharing institutional and corporate experience in secretarial Management and training
  2. To equip members of the institute with technical skills and understanding in the discharge of   professional duties.
  3. To educate members on the implication of poor secretarial administration.

PROGRAMME FACILITATORS
Facilitators would be drawn from experienced professionals in Secretarial Practice and Management with extensive experience in each subject areas.

  1. The MCPD is compulsory for every member of the Nigerian Institute of Professional Secretaries.
  2. Prospective members may also attend.

NOTE:
1. MCPD attracts 40 credit Points per year and is compulsory for all members
2.  Members who do not earn up to 20 credit Points in a year stand the risk of their names being deleted from the membership register.

Please note that registration would commence from 10.00 a.m. on the first day of the course at the same venue.

ACCOMMODATION:
Participants will be responsible for their accommodation during the programmes.  However, there are suitable Hotels and Guest Houses with suitable facilities at affordable prices around the Venues.  Arrangements for accommodation can be made on request.

CERTIFICATES: Certificate  of participation will be given to participants  at the endof the programme.
